JettProof soars at Lake Macquarie Business Awards
Local manufacturer, designer and exporter of calming sensory clothing for children and adults, JettProof, has been named the 2017 Lake Macquarie Business of the Year.
JettProof was recognised as a business leader and commended for their passion and commitment to helping individuals and families in need.
The business was created by Director Michelle Ebbin four years ago in Lake Macquarie and won four awards including Excellence in Branding and Marketing, Innovation, and Entrepreneurship, as well as top honours as this year's Lake Macquarie Business of the Year.

JettProof was created by Michelle for her son, Jett.
Jett was diagnosed with severe Autism, Global Development Delay and Sensory Processing Disorder at the age of three. With up to 12 meltdowns before lunch time most days, Michelle was desperate to find a product to help Jett stay calm, focused and responsive to language and instructions.
A worldwide search did not locate a suitable sensory based garment for special needs children that would gently self-regulate a child and could be worn under normal clothing throughout the day, every day, and for all seasons.
With more than 20 years of clothing manufacturing, design, export and marketing experience and an entrepreneurial spirit, Michelle decided to develop her own solution to help Jett and other families throughout the world.
JettProof clothing and undergarments are based in Gateshead and are now sold worldwide to individuals and families living with Autism, Sensory Processing Disorder, Asperger Syndrome, ADD, ADHD, Cerebral Palsy, Down Syndrome, Rett Syndrome, Anxiety and other Neurological conditions.
JettProof undergarments are made from Calmtex, a lightweight, breathable, high quality sensory fabric which was designed for sensory care. The clothing can be comfortably worn 24/7 under clothing all year round.
“Our products are manufactured in Australia to the highest standards and we have kept our pricing down to assist families. My team and I are driven by the amazing results our customers experience when they use our products,” explained Michelle.
“When people meet us for the first time, we are often greeted with a heart-felt thank you, and sometimes even tears. The passion for what we do and what we create grows every day and we are always on the lookout for new ways to help individuals and families, both locally and throughout the world,” she said.
